A Group interview or multiple person interview is an interview where there are two people (interviewees) being interviewed at the same time by an interviewer. The questions asked by the interviewer are paraphrased.

Time coding is also available as an option if your materials are submitted on VHS or DVD with a visible time code window burn (BITC).

Focus Group Interviews

A focus group is an interview where there are more than two people being interviewed at once. We provide focus group transcription services from video tapes as well as normal audio formats. Most production companies are submitting video, though there are still some that will only provide an audio source. With a video source, the transcriber can see who is speaking and correctly identify them in the transcript. This is not always possible with audio-only sources because voices often sound very similar.

If the audio is submitted on VHS or DVD with a visible timecode "window burn," we can also provide time code references in your transcript.
